EXETER 10KM 2014

Wednesday 20th August, Start 7pm


Key Information:


1. Please note nothing will be posted out you will need to pick you number up from the
race hq on the day, this will be open from 5pm.


2. Please allow plenty of time to pick your race number and walk to the start - see map for
start/finish location and race hq.


3. We will allow entry transfer up until 10 days before the race - please note this needs to be arranged by runners, see website for further
details.


4. Please make sure you pin your race number on the front of your top with 4 safety pins and ensure it is clearly visable - if you don't then you could be missed at the finish line and not be recorded in the results!  Please also make sure you fill in your personal details on the reverse of the number.
 

5. We are not using timing chips for this event, you will be manually timed.  Full results will be posted on the website after the race.  There will be a large display clock at the finish line so you will be able to see your finish time as you cross the line.


6. Please be aware that all of the race route is on public foot & cycle paths, which will still be open during the race. Be aware of this and consider the other users during the race.  We will fully sign and marshal the route to ensure any disruption to the race is kept to a minimum.

 
7. The route will go through the Riverside Valley Park, some sections of the path here can be a little rough so please be carefully.

 
8. We are unable to provide refund or defer entries over to 2015, however will we do entry transfers up until 10 days before the race.

 
9. We would like to acknowledge 19th Exeter Sea Scouts for kindly letting us use their building as the Race HQ.


10. Toilets will be availble for runners to use at:

  • Race Hq
  • Public Toilets at quay (next to Waterfront Resturant)
  • New Haven Banks Centre.



11. There will be a water station on the course, which you will pass twice.  Please can you try and throw cups in the bins provided, part of our permission to use this venue relies on us leaving the area as we found it!

 
12. Keep an eye the weather and prepare accordingly.  A detailed weather forecast is available via the MET Office.

 
13. Results will posted on the race website after the race.  We will award prizes on the day for the first 3 men and women past the post.  All age cat prizes will be posted out following the event.


14. We are unable to offer a dedicated event car park. However there are Council Pay & Display Car Parks close by: Haven Banks Car Park, Michael Browning Way, Exeter, EX2 8DP Cathedral and Quay Car Park, Lower Coombe Street, Exeter, EX1 1DX See council website for further details - http://www.exeter.gov.uk.


15. Please do not wear personal music players during the race, this is so you can can hear marshal instructions and be aware of others runners and general public on the course.

Volunteer Programme

We always need help at our events with things like marshalling.

If you would be willing to help out, please register for our Volunteer Programme.  We will then contact you as an when we have an event to see if you are  available to help...no pressure!!

If you are able to help then we would be more than happy to offer you a FREE place into another one of our races.
